The Japanese Cherry Trees are almost in full bloom at this very moment in Stockholm. And it's as usual a lovely scene to watch.

Woke up just before 6 this morning and a look through the window made me go back to bed and I pulled the duvet over my head and went back to sleep. For real. Slept another 2 hours. This is what I saw from the window:
A white world. This is not something I want in mid April. Really! And it was a snow storm as well. But it has stopped now. Finally. At this moment the snow is on the ground, and the sun is fighting to melt it.Was this the last of the white stuff for this season?
So my plan to go in to the city was cancelled. Stayed home, did some laundry, read a book, baked a cake and knitted on my cardigan. And the body of my cardigans is almost done.
I know I'm gonna use this cardigan. I really like it. Later this week I need to look for 3 buttons to match. Perhaps buttons in wood?
On Tuesday, spring had a backlash and winter returned with snow. But around lunch the snowing had turned to rain.

But the rest of the week has not been warm at all, I have used mitten & hats early mornings and late evenings. But the weather men has promised sun and warmth to the weekend! Just hoping they are right!
As I said yesterday - it's too hot here. I'm sitting in my sofa doing absolutly nothing, and I'm sweating. It has been +32 C / 90 F today. Now it's +27 C / 81 F.

For a while it was actually warmer inside my apartment than outside at the balcony. I have now opened a window in every room to get some air.. The night will not be nice..I have put my hotwater bottle in the freezer to use in my bed later on.
Now back the the World Cup final.
I have been sitting on the balcony all weekend, but not today.. It's snowing.. And it's really depressing with snow now. I actually put away my winter boots.. Do I have to go back for them? I don't want to..

The winter is melting away, slowly.. But I can see signs of Spring everyday now. I have bought my first bouquet of daffodils today and I had a pot of Crocus on my table at the Waffle café.
And we have a lovely weather as well. I took a walk around the hood, but it was really icy after another cold night.
And another great sign of Spring: The Swedish Football (Soccer) League starts today! Finally! My team plays their premiere game tomorrow and I may be in place at Råsunda .. It depends on the weather...
I just had my first outing on the balcony for this year. I enjoyed a cup of coffee, sitting in my chair on the balcony for about 20 minutes. It was so lovely! And it gives hope about the spring!
When I woke up this morning, around 8.30, it was -14 C / 7 F outside, but a clear blue sky and lots of sun. The winter has been long and beautiful, but I feel it's time to change season now! We have still a lot of snow here, and it has been snowing this week too.
I couldn't find my sunglasses so I have the sun in my eyes.
After this blog post is written I will go out for a walk, pick up my movie tickets for tonight - Alice In Wonderland - and walk around my neighborhood and soak up the spring.

Finally... The summer is back! With blue skies and warmth! Lovely! Just one problem, I'm still at work. My vacation kicks off in 3 1/2 weeks.. But I'm enjoying the sun as much as I can. I eat my lunch outside and have my coffee outside the office building. And at home, have my dinner on the balcony! Heaven!

I know I have been a bad blogger the resent months, but I have had a hectic spring with a heavy work load, I hope it will slow down soon. I have a trip to report and a finished shawl to show. And a couple of new (and) old project to show. Maybe this weekend!
Woke up early, and left the flat just after 9. Outside the sun was beaming from a flawless blue sky! And I had to spend the morning inside the Kista Fair - looking and touching yarn! Twice a year there are this handy craft fair for those who likes to sew, knit, crochet, embroid, weave and so on. I'm there for the yarn of course.

Last time, in October the fair was overcrowed, but yesterday (as long as I was there) it was ok and the first hour was very calm. Perhaps the weather made people change their plans or was it a sign of the economic situation?

And usually you're bound to meet fellow knitters from all over - but I didn't. Weird! But I met a couple of co-workers,whom I didn't know would attend. Anyway, I came home with six (6!) hanks of wool, four of the where from Ullcentrum and two of those came with a pattern of a shawl. The last two hanks came from Wålstedt and will problebly be a scarf.

I came home just after noon, and cleared the balcony and enjoyed a coffee break in the sun, and later I hung the wet laundry at the balcony (the first of the year) and a couple of hours later, it was all dry and could be put away in the drawers. A perfect day!
