Sometimes you need to do something diffrent then work, with you co-workers. So today we walked to Kungsträdgården - in the heart of the city - and rented some skates and walked out on the ice.
When we planed this outing a couple of weeks ago, everybody of the "youngsters" at work (we between 30-45) seemed to like the idea of skating together. But as we came closer to this day, nearly everybody had made other plans, so at the end, the Ice Princesses were Yours truely and Alex. And we had a blast! It was so fun but after ONE round my ankles were killing me - I hadn't skate for years... But I made it through one hour of skating.. Alex and I made a promise to come back after Christmas and do it again, and hopefully our co-workers will join us.
I used to love skating when I was younger. I never liked skiing - cross country or down hill - but I looved skating. I got my first skates at the tender age of 2. I was never in figure skating school, but I had fun anyway. Every day after school we skated on the Ice rink near my house. Playing catch or just skate around and around.
The last time I skated before today? Well, it was actually 2001, and before that, 1992.. But I really liked it today, so I will go back! Perhaps already next week - will it be Holiday on Ice? And you do burn some calories having fun! My feet hurts at the moment so I will take a foot bath and spoil them now!
