I've got a package today! I got a package from my Knitters Treat Exchange Pal. The lovely Jodi in Chicago, IL at A Caffeinated Yarn send me a great package with: KnitSimple - a knitting magazine, a hank of yarn from Sundara Yarn (I have been drooling over her yarns for a while!) with Lenten Rose Sock pattern to go, chocolate, a candle, a bath fizzer, a bag of tea and a lovely card! THANK YOU, JODI! I loved everything. And it was so nice to "meet" you! I will light the candle and use the bath fizzer when I take my next bath. I had a cup of tea a while ago and I liked it very much.. The chocolate is in fact all intact - I will save it til tomorrow.

I have posted my package to my pal - so I hoping she will get it later this week! It's going to California.

And I got the news today that Someone is pregnant (again). And no, not me... Grattis! Ser framemot att få träffa dig snart! Det var alldeles förlänge sedan!

summer feeling

The sun is back! And the heat too. It's really hot for the season, it's feels like summer! So I had to decorate my balcony. I hang up a candalier on my balcony and at the moment the candles are lit and very cozy at the balcony.. A bit cold now in the dark, I'm longing for those hot summer nights..

We have very a long weekend a head of us. I will not go back to work until Wednesday - a four day long weekend. Perfect! I hope the weather are staying with us! May 1 is a public holiday and I'm having Monday day off too.

My main plan for tomorrow is to pack the package to my Knitters Treat Exchange Pal and send it to her,but first I need to pop in at Nysta to buy a skein of yarn to her. Everyhing else is packed. And for the rest of the day? Well just to relax and enjoy my day off. I had a busy week and I just need to relax and to knit. I had almost no time at all this week to knit - exept on Tuesday night when I met up with my knitting group.

I got a new fridge and freezer yesterday- yay, the old one was over 20 years old - and I have plans to fill up the freezer with some yummie food during the weekend. So I have plans to bake some Kanelbullar - cinnamon rolls- tomorrow or Sunday.

3.00 or 2.50?

This is the progress so far on my bed socks from Nancy Bush's Knitting Vintage socks. But I have the feeling it's too strechy and too wide, so I problebly need to rip it and start all over with a set of smaller needles. I'm using 3.00 mm at the moment and the pattern says 2.75 mm and I don't have that size. So I need to try 2.50 mm. I will cast on with a set of 2.50 mm needles to see if it looks better.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with my doctor. When I met her a month ago when I was ill, she had some consern over my low blood pressure - hypotension. So tomorrow she will take some more blood from me and hopefully I will be OK.

I got a e-card today from the one who is treating me! Thank you! I have also sent one to the person I will spoil.

bed socks

Project Spectrum has enter a new fase - April and May has the colour of Green, Pink and Yellow. And I'm knitting a pair of green Bed Socks from Nancy Bush's Knitting Vintage Socks. Since I have the day off oand my guest has left me - I had a nice afternoon in the sofa knitting. I'm using Knit Picks Gloss and the colour Woodland Sage. So I guess this pair of socks also are apart of Green Sock Knit-along too.

I have also got my match for Knitters Treat Exchange - and I have read her blog to get some ideas. This is going to be fun! My spoilee is a new aquaintance and it's always fun to learn to know a new person. And I guess someone else got me as a spoilee, so HI, You Mysterious One, You can find everything You need to know under the tag Knitter Treat Exchange in the sidebar to the right. I'm looking forward to be spoiled and to spoil someone else. =-)

Now it's time for me to do some housework!

Knitters Treat Exchange Questionnaire

1. What's your favourite type of yarn? Natural fibers, I knit with wool most of the time.. I knit a lot of sock and I love to discover "new" (for me) sock yarn.  I recently won some merino sock wool from Yarn Pirate and I love to discover some other small (sock) yarn maker. But I also love the Noro yarns.. At the moment I "collect" Noro Kureyon colour 138 (it will be a sweater when I have enought yarn)

2. What's your least favourite type of yarn? Novelty yarn, "fur yarn"..

3. What's the first thing you do when you visit a new yarn shop? I run around like crazy and I want to touch everything..

4. What other crafts do you do / would like to do? Knitting and photographing.

5. What magazines do you currently subscribe to? None!

6. Put this type of magazine in order of preference:

7. What items do you like to knit? Socks, shawls, scarfs, mittens/gloves, hats

10. What's your favourite way to relax? Taking a bath, reading crime novels, knitting

11. You're stood in front of a Victorian style sweetshop, an Italian cafe, an old fashioned bakery and a dainty tea room. Where do you go first? A dainty tea room, I have a big pot of tea with scones and jam.

12. What do you come out with? I will not come out

13. Where do you go next? Ok, after the KICK me out from the tea room when they are closing I go to an Italian cafe

14. Any other words of wisdom for your pal? None right now - if I think of anything I’ll let you know

I actually had dinner out on my balcony after work! Lovely! I had no balcony in my former apartment, so at the moment I just love my balcony. I have been longing for this for a long time! It was just great to have a meal outside and watching the beginning of the sunset. It's almost dark outside now - and I have moved in to my living room. I took this sunset photo before I moved in.

I have not joined the next Secret Pal round, but I joined Knitters Treat Exchange instead - small one time swap. A small one time swap is what I need at the moment. It's fun to make a package for some one, and it'sfun to recieve a package too. My last package of fun has arrived in Ohio! And I'm hoping a package has arrived in N. Carolina too. I'm looking forward to treat someone special! I will soon post my Knitters Treat Exchange Questionnaire, If you want to join, you have a couple of day left to join.
