The rave from the English media today to Zlatan Ibrahimovic amazing. The Swedish team, for which he is captain, was victorious against England football team yesterday. Swe - Eng 4-2. And Zlatan scored 4 times. Yesterday was the opening gala match of the new national football stadium. And I was there, of course. And it was a glorious night.

And the 4th goal is absolutly f*cking amazing: 

 

I can see this over and over again and it gives me chills.

The last 10 minutes was totaly crazy. 50.000 people gives Zlatan a standing ovation. The last minute filmed by me here.

Zlatan is no stranger to make crazy goal. Look at this one 2004 against Italy. Or this aganist Hungary 2005 or this one in June against France.

it's over and i'm ok with that

The answer to yesterdays questions Heavan or Hell? became hell, a bit heaven and back to hell. We lost 3-2 to England. But 2-2 or 3-3 had been the most fair result. But it was a fun game to watch and I had I fab time with friends. Sweden has one match left to play, against France next week, but Euro2012 is over for Sweden. :-(

I lost my voice yesterday during the game, to much shouting.. But it's back, with a deeper rock'n roll touch.

During the last weeks football games on TV, I have been knitting on a shawl I began on my trip to Glasgow, january 2011. It has basically been in a bag since February 2011, when I realise I had to many stitches on the needles. When I picked it up again last Sunday my first thought was to rip it all up and start over. But I changed my mind and just knitted k2tog a couple of times and are now right back on track!

This will be a slow Saturday. Knitting, coffee at my local café. It's raining and I have no plans for this weekend. Maybe a movie later on.

heaven or hell? happy or sad?

Tonight in Euro 2012, the Swedish football team will play agaisnt England. Sweden lost the first game against Ukraine with 2-1, so tonight I want/I need a victory. It's a tough game. And Sweden did not play at it's best last time. I'm just hoping for the best!

On June 5th I saw the team play against Serbia in a friendly game at Råsunda stadium.And this one, they won 2-1.

So Heaven if the team wins, Hell if the team lose. Simple as that! I'm ready!

I will meet up with some friends and see the game at Arizona. Let's have a fab night with lots of joy and laughter. Go Sweden!

another victory for the boys

Spent a couple of hours at Råsunda football stadium, along with 32 300 others, last evening. Most of them happy Swedes. Sweden won 2-0 over Hungary and the happiest of them all was Pontus Wernbloom who scored both goals.

This was the first game of the Euro12 qualifier campaign - next game is on Tuesday in Malmö, Sweden plays against San Marino. I will watch the game on TV.

Had a great evening yesterday. Good company, good food, good weather and great seats and it was a good game. Sweden won 3-0 against the Scots. Zlatan Ibrahimovic 1-0, Emir Bajrami 2-0 and Ola Toivonen 3-0.

Sweden did not attend the World Cup earlier this summer but is now ready to qualify to Euro 2012. The first qualifier is September 3 against Hungary at Råsunda. I haven bought the tickets yet, but will probably to so.

vacation time

Sick leave is OVER and I have started my vacation! Woohoo! I'm happy! I had an appointment with my doctor on Monday and she was pleased with the outcome of the surgery - both inside and outside of my body. So she ended my sick leave and I called work to tell them I was available for work again, but I needed my vacation first... I need to take it easy and will not lift heavy suitcases - so I will stay home, a staycation :-) 

So far though, I haven't done much - I basically continue my "sick leave days" - you know eat, cook, bake, knit, watch dvd:s and relax. Yesterday evening I had a friend over, we did some food, talked and had a blast. This evening I'm going to Råsunda Stadium to watch some football. Sweden plays against Scotland in friendly. I will meet up with Katarina and her husband at the local pub, before the game to have a pint (or two) and a burger.

But before the game I need a cup of tea and I need to knit a couple of rows on the colourful booga bag.

The bag is hanging upside down on the chair. I do love the colourful stripes and I hope this will be a useful bag after felting. I have about 10cm to go on this bag. I don't know yet if I will keep this to myself or give it away, time will tell.
 

knitting & football

Another night with some knitting and football. Tonight we have France vs Italy. My hopes goes out to Italy! Both teams are in big trouble, they need to win AND Romania needs to loose against Holland, to qualify to the quarter finals.. Tomorrow night my boys need to win or get a draw to get to the next round. Sweden plays against Russia tomorrow 8.45 pm CET. And at the same time I'm hoping to find a TV, because we have our annual summer party at work tomorrow...

friday, finally...

Some weeks are longer than others, and this week has been looong. Even though I have been doing lots of fun things this week. But I have tons of things at work (and here I sit and writes a blog post during work hours... Shame on me... Shhhh - don't tell...) and meetings everyday. At the moment, being at the office is not fun at all. We have a work load that is unbelievable, and we are loosing staff members in every month now, and we have no money to replace them, so we who are left behind, is slowly drowning. I am thankful to have a work to go to every morning, but at the moment it's "sink or swim".

Thank god for fun things to do after work, and that is football on TV every night. I have been watching a lot of football this week (and upcoming weeks). Alone at home, with friends in a pub, home at friends houses. But no football tonight -GASP! I ditch Italy, Romania, Holland & France for some good country/bluegrass music tonight. Tonight you will find me along with this gal (and her bf) and this gal at Stockholm's stadium, watching Dolly Parton for a couple of hours.

And during most of all these football matches on TV, I have been knitting - exept for the Sweden game. I have been knitting a lot on the Waving Lace Socks, and I'm about to turn the heel now.

Ok, I guess I need to do some work now.. Have a great Friday! And I guess I will see some of you tomorrow at Mariatorget / or at Marias garn?
