So this will be my home from now. I hope I like it here and that you, my friends, will find it a bit intresting to read about me and my knittings.
It has been a really slow Saturday, I was originally to meet up with Stina, but she had to cancel the last minute, so I had the day to myself. I loaded the dvd with a couple of movies and did some knitting and ordered in chinese food. A perfect day. I have been knitting on my second Dublin Bay sock, I will soon begin the heel flap.
I have new knitting books to share. One skein by Leigh Radford and The secret Life of a Knitter: Yarn Harlot by Stephanie Pearl- McPhee. Most of you have already gotten these book , and now has I. I have started to read Yarn Harlot, and it´s a joy to read her. I had her other books, so I knew that I was going to like it. And in One skein you can find patterns for your single skein of your choise. And there was a couple of things that I really liked in this book: Kid's Colour BlockCardigan -I'm sure that someone of my babies will like that one, Cable footies, Silk Sleeves - are added to my wishlist.
Yesterday I was at a dinner party with my co-workers and some old co-workers. We celebrated Gitte,
who is turning 70 tomorrow. She was my mentor when I started out in this archive business, 1994. And she is a great lady and it was a real joy to celebrate her with gifts and flowers. We had a great evening!
This week I got me a belated birthday gift from ACE and it was a brosch, a beautiful one, in shape of a heart! I just loove it! Thank you, Sweetheart! Love You!
