it's over and i'm ok with that

The answer to yesterdays questions Heavan or Hell? became hell, a bit heaven and back to hell. We lost 3-2 to England. But 2-2 or 3-3 had been the most fair result. But it was a fun game to watch and I had I fab time with friends. Sweden has one match left to play, against France next week, but Euro2012 is over for Sweden. :-(

I lost my voice yesterday during the game, to much shouting.. But it's back, with a deeper rock'n roll touch.

During the last weeks football games on TV, I have been knitting on a shawl I began on my trip to Glasgow, january 2011. It has basically been in a bag since February 2011, when I realise I had to many stitches on the needles. When I picked it up again last Sunday my first thought was to rip it all up and start over. But I changed my mind and just knitted k2tog a couple of times and are now right back on track!

This will be a slow Saturday. Knitting, coffee at my local café. It's raining and I have no plans for this weekend. Maybe a movie later on.

heaven or hell? happy or sad?

Tonight in Euro 2012, the Swedish football team will play agaisnt England. Sweden lost the first game against Ukraine with 2-1, so tonight I want/I need a victory. It's a tough game. And Sweden did not play at it's best last time. I'm just hoping for the best!

On June 5th I saw the team play against Serbia in a friendly game at Råsunda stadium.And this one, they won 2-1.

So Heaven if the team wins, Hell if the team lose. Simple as that! I'm ready!

I will meet up with some friends and see the game at Arizona. Let's have a fab night with lots of joy and laughter. Go Sweden!

on the needles

In December I started on a pair of socks, Broken Seed Stitch Socks. I knitted about 8 cm and I realised the sock was to wide. So I put this knitting aside and forgot it. On Sunday, when I was off to the knitting breakfast meet up, I needed a small project to bring. And I found this sock in a bag. I brought it with me to the breakfast and frogged it. And started over. This time with fewer stitches on the needles.

Since we have a national holiday today and I'm off from work, I had plenty of time to knit. Turned the heel and now working on the foot. So the rest of the evening I will knit and watch the season finale of Grey's Anatomy. Who will die and who will live?!?

 

sunday morning

Yesterday morning I had breakfast with some knitting friends at Manhem Café & Deli. Breakfast and knitting - a perfect morning.

Café latte, croissant, smoothie, sourdough bread with cheese & salami. And lovely company with Ulrica and 4 others happy knitters. Had a great time! 

rainbow shawl

Already June! And the coldest start of June in 84 year. Yesterday we had 6 C/43 F! Gloves, hats and big shawls on!! We have warmer today -  10 C/50 F. Lovely summer weather! ;-)

Due to the cold I have have been wearing the new shawl. The Rainbow shawl! A easy and a fast knit.

I bought the yarn on a whim - and knitted like crazy, finished in 8 days. And I just love it!

Just hope the summer makes a comeback very soon, so I can skip the woolisest shawls until october.
