I have started on the body now, so it basically just a straight road now. I think this will be a cozy cardigan! Perhaps a bit wide but since it's my first cardigan I basically don't care. This will be worn anyway.
Has enjoyed some knitting outdoors, on the balcony. The spring is here, but you never know. We had snowfall earlier this week. Let's hope the snow's done for the season!
Due to work I had to fly over to Visby for a couple of days earlier this week. Stayed at Solhem hotel, just outside of the city wall. Since it was a work related trip, there where a lot of work - but I managed to meet up a friend for dinner on Tuesday. Spicey Indian food with lots of talk and laughter.
Early Wednesday morning I had time to take a walk around the town. A sunny morning with empty streets.
I also had time to buy some tea at my favorite tea shop - Kränku, I always try to make a visit while in Visby.
I will make this trip a couple of times in April & May. Just more work to do.
So, now I hope the siblings in Nälden will be happy about the hats. This is G:s hat. The blue colour looks like blueberries and milk, hence the name.

I have used Malabrigo left-overs from my stash.
After a hard working week it's always nice to have a slow weekend with sleep-ins. So yesterday I woke up at 6. Not exactly what I wanted. And I couldn't go back to sleep, so I had breakfast, watched a couple of episodes of Mad Men, and around 10 o'clock stepped out for a walk. No sunshine but also no rain or snowfall, I walked around the small lake.
After the walk I ended up at the usual place for a cup of coffee and a waffle. And I also had my knitting with me. So this became my 2nd breakfast (or perhaps early lunch?).
Back home I managed to to some house work, knit and watch some ski races on TV. And late afternoon/early evening a movie date with a friend. We saw Hugo, Martin Scorsese's latest. Nothing like Scorsese's other films, but a really sweet story about a young, orphan kid who meets Georges Méliès. I liked it a lot.
This year I have got a lots of free yarn, but I haven't stop buying yarn. ;-) When I was in Jämtland, during my new years trip I bought a lovely hank of wool. The yarn is form local sheep in Underåker, not far from the sports cottage I stayed in.
I bought this hank at the museum in Östersund, Jamtli. And this hank is going to be a shawl, someday. It's a lovely blue colour.
The weekend of 17-19 February I attend the Syfestival, a yarn festival. There I bought some danish wool, Hjelholts. These will also be shawls someday.
And a couple of weeks ago I ordered some yarn from my usual online store Garnkorgen.
I bought some Madeline Tosh lace and some Malabrigo lace and these will also be made to shawls someday. Can I please leave the office, to go home and knit?
During my new years holiday I promised my favorite 4 year old to make her a hat. Finally, here it is. And it has the colours of some sort of candy, hence the name. Pink & red, the Princess favorite colours.

And to keep her older brother happy, I have cast on a hat for hilm as well.
Up early this beautiful, but cold morning. Watching the classic ski event, Vasaloppet on the telly. This year marks the 88th year of this ski event. It's a race between Sälen and Mora and it's 90 kilometers long. For the ski stars it takes about just under 4 hours to ski 90 kilometers. For the regular Joe, between 6-10 hours. And it's 15.800 people who will ski today.
The start last year. Amazing to watch.
But I am not compeeting myself. I sit in the sofa watching and knitting. This year I knit om my Cardigan. My first try to knit a cardigan. And so far, it's working fine. And it start to look like a cardigan.
So far, so good. Will soon start on the body!
