new stripes

Started a new project earlier this week. God knows I don't need another knitting project  at the moment, but what to do when you the urge to knit stripes?

 

And I have a bag filled with alpaca leftovers, I just casted on for a simple stripey shawl. Started off with black and yellow.  And when the yellow colour was no more, I cast on some red.

 

And after the red I used gray. And when the black colour ended I started to use an army green colour. Latest colour added is pink.

 
So far so good I think. Mindless knitting at it's best.

tofta beach yesterday evening

I just came back from a 2-day trip to Gotland. I had a work related work shop with 6 colleauges about Knowledge Management. Two intense day with lots of fun, food and work.

We stayed in the village of Tofta, about 20 minutes south of Visby, and very close to the beach.  So after the dinner I walked down to the beach and saw an incredible sun set. These are the best photos from last evening.

 
 
 
An empty beach. It was really nice to walk around. But we also sat in the sand and just looked at the amazing view. Really, really nice.

old & new projects

First, I have started a new project that is NOT green! Yes, it's true. Same pattern as the Alexandra shawl though, but in a blackish shade.

But I have also picked up an old project from the bag. Remember this one? I really need to finish this one.

I hade knitted 20 rows on this one today as well as the blackish one.  The blackish has a deadline in early July and the other one, as soon as possible.. So, back to knitting! :-)

summer feeling

This week has been very summery - a big contrast to last weeks snow. Sadly the weather men has promised a cooler weekend.  This photo is taken on my balcony Tuesday evening 09.38 and the bright summer nights are here.

the alexandra shawl

A new shawl is done and ready to wear. It's named after my colleauge, who has a similar shawl made by her mother. It's a simple and easy pattern and I really loved to knit it. I will knit this pattern again and since I have a couple of birthdays coming up, someone will problebly get a similar version of this one as a gift.

backlash

On Tuesday, spring had a backlash and winter returned with snow.  But around lunch the snowing had turned to rain.

 But the rest of the week has not been warm at all, I have used mitten & hats early mornings and late evenings. But the weather men has promised sun and warmth to the weekend! Just hoping they are right!
