easter knitting

As I wrote in the last post, the weather has been really nice this Easter. I have been enjoying a lot of time on the balcony. Coffee and lunch breaks, in the sun. Much of the Good Friday was spent on the balcony reading and knitting. So lovely.

I have started two new projects this weekend. A pair of socks and a new shawlette. The socks are Cookie A'sPomatomus. Using Opal yarn fror these.

And the shawlette is a simple feather and fan lace pattern. I'm using Manos del Uruguay, Silk blend.

This is my last day off, so the rest of the day will just be relaxing  - OK, I need to do some grocery shopping and clean off the kitchen - but first some coffee and some knitting!  Have a great day!

it's snowing outside

I have been sitting on the balcony all weekend, but not today.. It's snowing.. And it's really depressing with snow now. I actually put away my winter boots.. Do I have to go back for them? I don't want to..

ravelry weekend in stirling, scotland

I will been in Scotland, the weekend August 13, 14, 15 - and a couple of days around these dates. I will attend UK Knit Camp & Ravelry weekend 2010.  Are you coming with me?

This summer will be a bit special for me, since I have an upcoming surgery later this spring. And I don't know yet when the surgery is planed and I don't know yet how long I must be on sick leave, so at this moment I have no plans for the summer, execp for this event - but I think I will be well enought at that point to make this trip.

easter is coming

And I have now 4 days of from work! Lovely! I hope the weather will be nice, so I can be out a lot. I have no plans what so ever, I will just go with the flow.

One thing I have been planing is the weekend food. Today I made Nigella Lawsons killer Lemon risotto! Just fabulous! And I'm planing to make pine nuts/ chocolate cake. Holidays are just about food, right?
