This became a perfect spring scarf/shawl. And I love it. The shape and the colour. An easy and a fast knit!

I took the day off from work! And I really needed a day off just to relax, not thinking of work! And what a beautiful day it turned out to be. I had an amazing walk through the city.

Visited one of my yarn stores, Garnverket, but I didn't buy anything, I was just checking and touching.
Back home I cast on for a pair of Pomatomus, using a skein of Opal, in a brown colour. I think these socks are going to be for me! The Embossed Leaves was not for me and I need new socks.
Last night I finished my Saroyan shawl, but I have no good photo of it yet, so you have to wait to see that one. I wore it today though, during my city walk! It's a nice spring shawl!
Yesterday morning looked like this - it was an early moring, woke up at 5 am, and since this was the first moring with summer time I was dead tired (it was 4 am winter time..) I stayed in bed an other hour but at 6 I became restless and moved to the sofa with breakfast close by and a couple of episodes of Sopranos, series 2.
So after more tham a year, the Embossed Leaves socks are finished! Hooray! Finally! When I finished the second sock I realized the first sock was to big, so I frogged it a bit and did the toe diffrently, as I did the second sock. I skipped the last lace repeat, so now the fit!

I'm having a cleaning day in my apartment today, and therefor I sit close to my computer - ;-)
Now, back to my chores!
So how do you organize your needles, straight ones, dpn's and circular? I have no problem to organize my straight ones. They are in a beer mug, a souvenir for October fest in München, 1990.
But what to do with dpn's and circular's? How do you store them? I have the on a pile in my book shelves.
What to do? I'm a terrible at using the sewing mashine, so don't tell me to sew a needle case ;-).. Any ideas?
So this weekend I have started two new projects - so yesterday I was juggling three different knitting projects. My main project at the moment is the Embossed leaves socks - but after a while those get boooooring, so I needed a change from time to time.. So on Friday night I cast on for the Saroyan shawl. I'm using Fleece Artist Merino 2/6 in a fantastic green colour. I have done 4 repeats of the charts and I like it so far.
And yesterday I started those mittens I bought yarn & pattern for. I know the mitten season maybe is over for this winter, but you need to look stylish for the next winter season, right? And you never know about this winter - it has been a long and wonderful winter, and spring is closing in - but never say never...
So now I will enjoy my Sunday breakfast and my knitting.
I didn't find a 6mm circ (knit pro) today but I didn't go empty handed from the yarn store. A pattern of a pair of gloves, 2 skeins of Drops Nepal, 1 skein of Noro Silk Garden. And on my way home I picked up a package of books I ordered a couple of days ago.
Now, a cup of coffee and cast on the gloves.
So after been hibernated for almost a year, the embossed leaves sock are coming a long fine. The first sock is done and and the second is almost half way done. I have spent this Saturday morning knitting and having breakfast.
It's a lovely weather outside this March 20! I will put on some clothes (at the moment, still in my pj's). I will go in to the city and visit Marias garn- my favorite yarn store, I need a 6mm circ needle for a new project..
Yesterday opened up one of my UFO bags. I found half a sock - an Embossed Leaves sock in Lorna Laces Bittersweet colour. I began this project in February 2009 - so I guess the time has come to finished it, right?
I had just turned the heel when I put this sock away. So I will probleby finished the first sock this week and begin on the second before the weekend. I hope so anyway.. This pair was supposed to be birthday gift last year for a dear friend, so maybe she gets them this year?
I have a couple of bags with UnFinished Objects - and I need to finish some of those items.
