We're having a heat wave. We had almost 32 C/89 F yesterday and almost no wind at all. Perhaps a bit to much, but as soon the wind started to breeze it became much nicer.
I sadly missed the whole Knit in Public day at Mariatorget yesterday. But I had 2 garden parties to attend (I had actually been asked to a third party, but 2 was enough (Why must everything happen on the same day?!?). But I had chance's to knit in public.
My dinner party with my co-workers, on Friday night was really , really nice. We had a great time. WIth lot of laughter, not much work talk, good food, and plenty of wine. The Pannacotta was a big hit, and so was also the Saffron Spahgetti with shrimps, black olives, garlick and chilli (Spaghetti Gentile from the cook book of Don Tommaso -Tomas Nordahl - (former swedish football player)).
I started a pair of fast socks yesterday morning. And I'm about to start the toe. The yarn is Opal Herbst Melodie and the sock is a (late) birthday present for someone (see the pix above).
I will go back to work tomorrow but it will be a fun day tomorrow. Not so much of regular work. We have the big company summer party tomorrow. It's starts 2 pm with a short bus ride to Vinterviken. The party will be held at the old Alfred Nobel sulphurous factory, re-made to host partys. And in this weather it will be nice to sit in the garden.
And Tuesday will be a lot of fun too. The Archive workers will go to Uppsala to join the Linneaus Jubilee. (We are celebrating Carl von Linnés 300th birthday this year.) We will visit the Linnémuseum, the Botanic garden and Linnés (home) Hammarby.
I will bring my camera and show you later this week! Have a nice week!

I really like the colors of that yarn. Those socks will make a wonderful gift!
