I have spent my day looking for a pattern for the Yarn Pirate yarn I got this morning. And I think I've found it. In Nancy Bush' exellent book Knitting Vintage Socks. I want a pair of simple ribbed socks, so my choice is Madder Ribbed socks! And after that I realized that Lolly made this pair with yarn from Yarn Pirate. Good choice, Lolly!
I have also been looking through my stash vs my knitting books to see if I can find a match somewhere. And I did find patterns to match some of my stash. And that makes me happy!
Also in Knitting Vintage sock: Bed socks (in Lemon Pattern Fancy Knit Stripe). For this pattern I have Knit Picks Gloss 70% Merino Wool, 30% Silk. Lovely combo! I know my feet will love these pair! The yarn is a gift from Laura at Affiknitty.
In Knitting on the Road I found The Conwy socks and I have the Lorna Lace's Shepherd sock yarn for these pair. I will look for more matching yarn/pattern tomorrow!
I have been knitting too, today. I'm about to start on the heel on my second Simple Stripes Fair Isle sock. I have no picture of that yet, but perhaps I can take one tomorrow.
