I got some yarn in the mail today, I ordered it from Garnkorgen. To hanks of Lorna's Laces Shepard sock, the colour is bittersweet. And I just love the colour, so vibrant. So now I need to find a pattern that is suitable. Perhaps Nancy Bush has something special for me? I will check my books later tonight. Perhaps a project for this years Project Spectrum?

Project Spectrum II starts tomorrow. And here are the colour scheme for the next 8 month: February/March - Blue, White, Gray . April/May - Green, Yellow, Pink . June/July - Red, Black, Metallics. August/ September - Brown, Orange, Purple.

My first PS project is to finish my blue opal socks I started a couple of weeks ago.

Andrea's wrist warmers

I had promised mrs B that I knit her a pair a wrist warmers. I bought the yarn (Noro Silkgarden) weeks ago so it was time to knit them this weekend. A fast knit. And Mrs B became very happy when she got them this morning. And she has already seen wearing them. The record hall is a bit chily, so most of us are wearing wrist warmers. The picture is showing Mrs B in the record hall.

I have finished my green socks! I'm wearing them now and they are so soft. I really love them and at the moment they are my favorite pair. ;-)

The picture is taken on my balcony this morning when I decided to have my coffee outside - in the sun (and in the cold). It was an amazing 10 minutes.. You can see more picture's here.

I have actually not been knitting a single stich this week. Have I lost my knitting mojo? I don't think so, I'm just not in the mood, at the moment. But if I pick up my green socks tonight I'll finish them. I'm at the second sock, and is about to start the toe. I promise I have a pair green socks finish to show tomorrow.

On my way home I passed Nysta, and I just had to stop and buy some yarn. I bought 2 hanks of Colinettes sock yarn, JitterBug in colour Fruit Coulis. But I also bought a skein of Noro Kureoyn, colour 138. I have now 6 skeins in that colour, so soon I have enought to knit a sweater! And I ran in to Erica, who was buying yarn as well.

I have also sent a package to Laura today, with some ear candy - a CD filled with good Swedish music. I hope you like it!

So I went back to work today... The worst thing about my work? The open landscape office.. I really hate it! No chance to be left alone. And all the phone's are ringing, everybody talks. We moved our office 2 years ago, and at the old place we all had seperate rooms. I really miss my old room... But I love (most) of my colleauges, so most of the time it's really OK. I spent most of the day helping Alex seaching for some photo's in the archive. And finally we found what we been looking for.

The title of this post? A U2 song that I love. U2 is on my stereo at the moment - the cd Rattle and hum. The Unforgetable Fire is my favorite album with U2, but R&H comes in second place. I've seen them live a couple of times, and they are just amazing live. But I haven't seen them live for a very longtime - mid 90s, 94 perhaps?

Anyway, R&H is very much road trip for me.. Hot summer, windows down, cruising down Blå Vägen -The Blue Highway (Umeå, Sweden - Mo i Rana, Norway and back) and U2 out loud from the stereo.. Very much late 80s and early 90s. A walk down memory lane.. Music is a big part of my life and U2 has been with me since 1984. And if I was to make a soundtrack of my life, U2 will be there along with ABBA, Kent, Pearl Jam among others. I will make a soundtrack of my life, and post it here later - but I need to think it through. OK? What's on your Soundtrack of your life?

Today we had a fantastic winter day with lots of sun from a clear blue sky and the snow was glittering in the sun. So I was really in the mood for a walk. This time I wore my orange hat and my-so-called-scarf.

I have been stuck in bed for two days with a cold. But I have also feeling blue and I have been really low these days. It's better today, but I can't say it feels great. But to feel the sun in my face was a real treat and after I bought myself a new pair of high boots, I felt a bit of happiness. Can you cure depression with some shopping? For a while perhaps?

Anyway, I have been looking for a pair of high boots forever but never found a pair who fit, always to small. I have always had a pair of fat calves (even when I was thinner), so when I found this brown high heels I had no choice but to buy them. And I fell in love with them the moment I saw them. It was still snowing when I woke up this morning. It was so beautiful outside, so after breakfast, around 10 am, I geared up and took a walk around the neighbourhood. Still a bit windy, but it was not chilly. I think it will start to rain later today if the temp doesn't get colder. The walk was not long, just a small walk to the corner shop to buy a Sunday news paper and a bottle of juice. I will take a longer walk later today.

In the picture I'm wearing two handknitted items. The hat is Billie Bob from a Rowan magazine, in Rowan Kid Classic and the shawl is Birch from Rowan magazine no 34, and the yarn is alpaca.

Winter! Yeay! But for how long? Anyway, it has been snowing for hours now. But the wind is gusty, so the best way to spend this saturday night is home in the sofa, drinking tea and knit. I'm all "dressed up" in my pyjama, thick socks, and my irish sweater. And over my legs, my scottish plaid. Cosy! And I'm watching an old favorite film from the 80s, Gregory's Girl, 1981. Have you seen it? It's so sweet and I love it.

Today I have actually been unpacking a couple of boxes left unpacked since my move to my new apartment in (late) August. Most of my stuff are in orders but there are some boxes left with things I really don't use, but I don't want to throw it away either. My childhood books, my dolls, my teddybears, my old LP:s (you know the vinyl thing before the CDs.... LPs from the late 70s and 80s - my teenage years; ABBA, Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, U2, Joan Jett, Spandau Ballet, Bryan Adams, Thompson Twins, Yazoo, Bronski Beat, The Communards, Duran Duran, Kim Wilde, Ratata, Orup, Simple Minds, Wham, George Michael, INXS among others). I have put away things that I don't need in my attic storage. My Christmas decorations for example.

I have also been cleaning my bathroom and my kitchen, and later on I will take on the bedroom too.. But at the moment I resting, drinking coffee and watching some TV.
