Woke up just before 6 this morning and a look through the window made me go back to bed and I pulled the duvet over my head and went back to sleep. For real. Slept another 2 hours. This is what I saw from the window:
A white world. This is not something I want in mid April. Really! And it was a snow storm as well. But it has stopped now. Finally. At this moment the snow is on the ground, and the sun is fighting to melt it.Was this the last of the white stuff for this season?
So my plan to go in to the city was cancelled. Stayed home, did some laundry, read a book, baked a cake and knitted on my cardigan. And the body of my cardigans is almost done.
I know I'm gonna use this cardigan. I really like it. Later this week I need to look for 3 buttons to match. Perhaps buttons in wood?
On Tuesday, spring had a backlash and winter returned with snow. But around lunch the snowing had turned to rain.

But the rest of the week has not been warm at all, I have used mitten & hats early mornings and late evenings. But the weather men has promised sun and warmth to the weekend! Just hoping they are right!
It seems all northern Europe are snowed in at the moment. And we have basically the same situation here in Stockholm. Even trains has been cancelled due to all snow. I have not been outside today, I have been cuddled up in my sofa - knitting and watching dvd:s. A perfect snowy sunday. A downer is I'm starting to get unwell, maybe a cold is coming up. Just hoping it's a cold and not the flu.
I do love all the christmas decoration all around the city. Here are some of them. It brightens up the darkness this time of the year - as well as the snow does.

Now it's time to make a quick dinner, and then some hockey, for the rest of the evening. Have a great Sunday!
You can find a Christmas tree in almost every city square. The biggest, is the one on Skeppsbron - the made up tree. They start to build this one in early November - and yes you read it right build one.
The making of the perfect christmas tree
It's look like the perfect Disney tree.
The other trees around the city is regular ones.

my local one at Storskogstorget
And then you also has the small ones, outside shops.
I haven't dressed my indoor plastic tree yet. My family tradition says not before the 23rd, so I just hace to wait.
Hello there, how are you? I'm here, alive and almost well. I have been having a sore shoulder for the pasts weeks, so I haven't been knitting a single stitch for about 14 days now. Not happy about that - but since all the Christmas knitting is done I can live with it.. But I have been busy othervise in life with work and a hectic social life.
Here are a couple of snapshots from the past weeks:
Stockholm has been covered in snow since December 14th. And it has been freezing cold as well. Needless to say, but I love it. Even though I had lots of trouble with my asthma in the cold. But with new medicin I can handle my asthma. I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday for a new check up.
Today we a blue sky, the sun is shining with some snowflakes spinning around the air. About -9 C /16 F. I have been out for a walk enjoying this perfect winter day. A lot of people where out walking, skiing and skating in the sun.
Now I need to make some coffee and then some chores to do! Have a great Sunday!
Happy New Year to to all! I hope you all had a great Christmas and a fab New Years Eve!
I have been enjoying a white Christmas, and we haven't had this much snow over Christmas for years in Stockholm! It has been fantastic! It started to snow on Lucia night and didn't stop for days. And I just love it! And I have been off work as well, so I have really enjoyed been out in the snow in daylight! And as I write this, it's has start to snow again.
I know I have been a poor blogger the past months, but I have also been a poor knitter as well and had nothing to write about! I will post one or two blog entries about my trip to tie up that story and I have a couple of FO to show you - and two of them are actually FO from THIS year...
