My sister turned "30 something" (well, she is 2 years younger than me) on Saturday and these socks was part of her birthday gift from me to her.

Last 6 months I knitted on one project a time. But recently I have more than one thing on the needles. I started one project this morning on my morning coffee break... A mindless and fast project for a knitting café or infront of the telly.
And yesterday I cast on for Stina's Mini Skull Tote. I think this will be a fast knitting too, but I need peace and quite when I knit this one, because of the skull pattern.. I have done the handles and are about to start on the skull pattern.
the yarn for the stina's mini skull tote
And the then I also is working on Mrs B mohair shawl .. It's an easy pattern, but so far I can't manage to learn it by heart... So I mess it up from time to time, and have to ripped a bit - so for now I let it rest.. It's my weekend knitting ..

And I need to start a couple of other projects too.. The Holiday season is here!
Saturday, yay - and it's a really slow day. I'm sitting in my sofa, the TV is on and showing sports. I'm drinking tea, I knit and I have been online, mostly on Ravelry and added old finished project. I have no urge to go outside today, it's windy and grey but no rain (at the moment).
Here is Lil'sis' B'day Socks! I made this pair quickly. She got a bit disapointed when I told that I didn't had any plans for knitted Christmas presents this year. But since she had her 36th birthday this week, I knitted this pair to her. A pair of red/grey raggsocks.

I will take a picture with the scarf in use later on.
I have a couple of WIPs I'm working on. The picture is showing a scarf in moss stitch pattern I began on Tuesday night, and I had it with me when we had our planing day on Wednesday. An easy knit, perfect to bring on all these upcoming meetings next week.
I'm also knitting on pair of mittens to me. I have not had the chance to take a photo of it, so you have to believe me when I say the first mitten is done and I have cast on for the second.
My third project is my Kureyon left over socks. At the moment I'm out of Kureyon left over, but since the mittens also are made in Kureyon, there will soon be left over to fininsh these socks.
The fourth project is a secret one. And I need to be finish on Tuesday! But I will make it, I hope. The others WIPs have to stand back for a couple of days.
It's Saturday and it's December 1st. My plan for today is to see all the 5 Harry Potter movies back to back. We will have a Harry film marathon at Katarina's today. I have baked a cake this morning to bring. It's going to be a looong day, but fun! The latest Harry Potter movie is now out on dvd.
Have a nice Saturday! I will!! EDIT: 11.19 am Bummer, I got problems with my stommach, so I stayed home.. Not happy about that!!
I actually had a lot of knitting time yesterday! I wasn't at work, well sort of, I was at a seminar at Stockholms City Museum about how to save audio tapes. Many achives and museum has a collection of audio tapes from the 50s to today. It was really interesting. One seminar was about a museum in Oslo, Norway, who collect sounds. They are recording street sounds all around Oslo.
Anyway, during the seminar I was knitting. And I continued to knit when Igot home last night, in front of the telly and hockey night. The Swedish hockey leauge kicked off yesterday with a game between HV71 and Frölunda. It was a very entertaining match, HV won 6-5. My plan was to blog about it yesterday, butmy internet connection was down and out. :(
This pair of sock will be a gift to Mon. I hope she will like them! She has now 4 days left... And I will miss her!
A pair of Raggsocks I started during Socktober fest, when I was home sick. A pair of regular raggsocks, with my regular sock patten. Perfect for the winter. Yarn: raggsocks garn, in green, black and white Needles: brittany birch wood dpn 4,5 mm Pattern: regular sock pattern Started: oct 30 2006 Finished: nov 10, 2006 Yarnsource: a souvenir from my trip to Kiruna in October.
My tiny friend Georg "asked" me the other day if I wanted to knit a pair of socks to him. A pair to grow with and a pair who keep the cold weather away. He "said": "My Mommy has not got the time right now to knit me a pair of socks, she totally occupied with her (and dads) wedding plans. So will you please help me?" I can't deny the little fella a pair of cosy socks, so yesterday I whipped up the first sock and I have started the second. Doc and Mr T are getting married next weekend, November 11, so they have a lot to do before that. The wedding takes place in Bromma Church, and the dinner will be held at Casa Lund - Svedlund. It will be a family affair. No friends are invited. Just family. Mostly to do with Doc's Mom's illness (cancer). But I'm sure it will be a very nice wedding and I'm so happy for them!
I have other socks on my needles too. I haven't finished those Jaywalkers yet, I will turn the heel next and last Tuesday I cast on for a quick winter socks to me, what we in Sweden call Raggsockor. I'm almost finished with these.
And I admit, I'm a copy cat. I have had plans to knit that My So Called Scarf for ages, and I had the yarn for it as well. Then Lolly made one and then Katarina.. So I had a thought to skip it, but then I change my mind, so Friday night I cast on my own ..So Called Scarf. The yarn for this is Merino wool, I got it from my Secret Pal 7, Sophie. And it turning out to be great. I can't wait to wear this one.
