I finished this Calorimetry in May, but since it was a birthday present to Doc, I couldn't show you. But now she has gotten her b-day present - 2 weeks before her b-day - so here it is.

Another busy week at work and after work. My holiday kicks in August 1st, but many of my co-workers are leaving for their holiday tomorrow and they are busy to get their business done, so I'm caught up with their stress to clean the desk's and having meetings.
Can´t wait for next week when I basically have a clean schedule... And only have 4 co-worker with me at the archive. Rest of the lot with be found at a beach somewhere in the world.
I haven't touch my knitting's this week, mainly because I haven't been home before my bedtime.. I have been meeting up with my sweet friends every evening this week. But next up for me is to finish Lovisa's baby bonnet, I have very little to knit on this piece, so one hour tonight will make it ready to wear.
I'm here! I has been busy at work and my free time after work had been filled with various activites with friends around the city. Dinners, pub hoping, bbq's, football. Basically a good time! And I have been knitting too. I have finished one item. My Waving Lace Socks. Socks are always small enough to bring in your bag everywhere.

I loved to knit this pair. The pattern was easy to remember, and it was my first time with Lorna's Laces. I will knit this yarn again, and I have more of in in my stash.

Another night with some knitting and football. Tonight we have France vs Italy. My hopes goes out to Italy! Both teams are in big trouble, they need to win AND Romania needs to loose against Holland, to qualify to the quarter finals.. Tomorrow night my boys need to win or get a draw to get to the next round. Sweden plays against Russia tomorrow 8.45 pm CET. And at the same time I'm hoping to find a TV, because we have our annual summer party at work tomorrow...
The waving lace socks - my knitting tonight
To avoid the rain when I walked home I visited the big fancy department store NK. And there on display, you can get a close up on the Vivianne Westwood wedding dress, from the movie Sex and the City, the Carrie Bradshaw wedding dress. And of course I snaped some photos of it.

Dolly Parton kicked off her European tour in Stockholm, Friday evening. I was there along with 18.500 other Dolly fans, among them: Katarina & Stefan and Erika. I had a great night. It was my first Dolly concert and I enjoyed it very much. She has a great songbook, and she sang some oldies but also some new ones from her latest CD.
And the weather was with us. Earlier that day we had rain, but late afternoon it cleared up and we had a fab, but cold evening at Stockholm Stadion.
I had bought cheap tickets, so I sat way in the back, so Dolly was a tiny dot on stage, so thank god for big tv screens.
So did you knit in public yesterday? Well I did. The weather in Stockholm was not the best so we ended up at our favorite yarn store, at Marias garn. But it was nice anyway. Lots of happy knitters, big ones and little ones.
When knitting in a yarn store is not very easy NOT to buy new yarn, neeedles, pattern books or something else for your knitting. I came home with two lovely buttons for my two Calorimetry, nothing else. But I cuddle some lovely yarn and I will problebly go back and buy it later on. Maria has also a bunch of lovely shawls (and pattern) and I want to make several of them.
Some weeks are longer than others, and this week has been looong. Even though I have been doing lots of fun things this week. But I have tons of things at work (and here I sit and writes a blog post during work hours... Shame on me... Shhhh - don't tell...) and meetings everyday. At the moment, being at the office is not fun at all. We have a work load that is unbelievable, and we are loosing staff members in every month now, and we have no money to replace them, so we who are left behind, is slowly drowning. I am thankful to have a work to go to every morning, but at the moment it's "sink or swim".
Thank god for fun things to do after work, and that is football on TV every night. I have been watching a lot of football this week (and upcoming weeks). Alone at home, with friends in a pub, home at friends houses. But no football tonight -GASP! I ditch Italy, Romania, Holland & France for some good country/bluegrass music tonight. Tonight you will find me along with this gal (and her bf) and this gal at Stockholm's stadium, watching Dolly Parton for a couple of hours.
And during most of all these football matches on TV, I have been knitting - exept for the Sweden game. I have been knitting a lot on the Waving Lace Socks, and I'm about to turn the heel now.
